What to count on the walk round
Nobody publishes an inventory, so you are the inventory. Go at the busiest hour you would realistically train, usually somewhere between 17:00 and 19:30, and count:
- Racks and platforms against the number of people waiting. One rack and eleven people is the whole answer.
- Bar condition. Knurling you can feel, spin that has not seized, and whether there are 20kg bars on every rack or one good bar the regulars hide.
- The top of the dumbbell rack. If it stops at 32kg, decide now whether that matters to you in a year.
- Bumpers and a platform if you clean or snatch, because a rubber floor is not a platform.
- The chalk rule. Some sites ban it outright, and it is better to know before you join than after.
Then ask the price, since none of the independents publish one. The three that do are here.
Common questions
Which King’s Lynn gym is best for free weights?
Everlast on Hamburg Way is the only listing carrying Google's weightlifting area category. Heros on Bryggen Road has the strongest independent rating, 4.8 from 179 reviews.
Is there an Olympic weightlifting club in King’s Lynn?
Nothing in this register is listed as a weightlifting club. Lynnsport's published programme covers athletics, gymnastics, climbing, Body Pump, RPM, Pilates, Hyrox and Biocircuits.
Do any gyms here publish an equipment list?
None. That is why this page tells you what to count on a walk round rather than pretending to know what is on the floor.
Where can I train Hyrox in King’s Lynn?
Alive Lynnsport lists Ceremony Hyrox among its sessions, on a membership of £36 a month on a twelve month contract or £40 rolling.
Which weights gym opens earliest?
Heros, Valeo Athletic and Everlast all open at 06:00 on weekdays. The five listed as open 24 hours never shut, so the only real constraint at 05:00 is parking.
